When John Trouern Trend met Alfred Latimer in Plymouth in the 1880s, little did they know that their decision to set up a printing business together would have such far-reaching and long-lasting impact. 

Today, more than 120 years later, Latimer Trend is recognised as one of the oldest-established printing companies in South West England with a nationwide reputation for high quality printing of prestige journals, books and directories.

Although there are no longer any Latimers or Trends involved in the business, the company has retained the same dedication to quality, delivery and customer service as their predecessors.

Still based on the outskirts of Plymouth, overlooked by the natural beauty of Dartmoor, the company has a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility which produces a full range of high quality digital and offset litho printing. From business cards to books, from posters to prospectuses, and menus to magazines, no job is too big – or too small.

But it doesn’t end there. We have other responsibilities too; to our employees and our environment. By putting practices in place to ensure we get these right, we can more easily meet our commitments to our customers. That’s why we have continuous training programmes in place for our employees and have achieved ISO 9001 Quality Assurance certification. In addition, we are increasingly conscious of the environmental impact of everything we do and have recently achieved ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification in recognition of the steps we have taken.
